Introduction
Introduction and welcome from Her Grace, The Duchess of Richmond and Stephanie Moore
Session One
From Soil to Surgery: Bridging Regenerative Agriculture and Human Health
The State of Our Environment – Bridging Regenerative Agriculture and Human Health: Moderated by Dr. Chris van Tulleken, this session features Dr. James Kinross and Dan Kittredge. They will discuss the impact of the global environment, particularly soil health and food systems, on the human microbiome and overall health. The discussion will highlight how modern industrial practices degrade microbial diversity and nutrient density in food, leading to chronic illness, and will explore the role of regenerative farming in restoring both food quality and ecosystems

Session Two
Policy, Food Culture, and Personal Health: Reimagining Food Systems for the 21st century
Common Ground – Reimagining Food Systems for the 21st Century: Patrick Holden CBE and Dr. Federica Amati will explore how external environmental factors, especially food production methods, shape human health. This session will address the urgent need to transition from ultra-processed foods and industrial farming to nutrient-rich, ecologically sound diets. Topics will include the importance of soil health, biodiversity, and animal welfare in farming, and the scientific evidence linking gut microbiome health, fibre, plant diversity, and anti-inflammatory diets (like the Mediterranean diet) to disease prevention.

Session Three
Expert panel Q&A
The four panellists will be joined by Stephanie Moore, clinical nutritional therapist, author and co-founder of Goodwood Gut Health Programme, and Lauren Aitken, Head of Operations for Randox Health.
